You can also replace cars in your roster; for example Team M7 "bought out" 212 Motorsports and Ricky Collette's points were added to the team in place of the 13 team which was then "sold" back to Guns Motorsports.
Here's the fine print:
Merging of teams or otherwise acquiring Season 2 points from another team heading into Season 3 MUST be reflected in your Season 3 roster. You may not simply "rent"/"borrow" points from another team just to get higher in Season 2 standings. You may, however, pick up a Season 2 Free Agent without being locked into a roster change, as a Free Agent could have been picked up at any time.
